At the Mass "It's All Here" Start Here event, attended by hundreds of entrepreneurs and business leaders, Governor Patrick declared February 23 "Massachusetts Entrepreneurship Day," and officially broke ground on the new Cambridge Innovation Center space which, thanks to new growth and high demand, will be nearly doubling its size by summer 2010. The Start Here statewide collaborative campaign includes new opportunities, events, and access for small businesses, innovators and investors of Massachusetts that will take place throughout the next three months.

The following is the full text of the proclamation by Governor Deval L. Patrick
Whereas: Innovation is vital to the success of Massachusetts businesses, and entrepreneurs harness this innovation for economic progress in the Commonwealth; and
Whereas: Revolutionary ideas start here. For almost four hundred years,
Massachusetts’ social, cultural, technological, scientific, manufacturing, and
design entrepreneurs have advanced our economic prosperity and quality of life;
Whereas: Entrepreneurial ingenuity is the lifeblood of the
Commonwealth’s innovation economy. Innovation is
Massachusetts’ edge, our fundamental
competitive advantage. Our entrepreneurs
are changing the state, nation and world for the better;

The Congress of the United States has resolved February 20th-27th
to be National Entrepreneurship Week;
Whereas:
On this day, the Mass Its All Here: Entrepreneurship Here marketing campaign
showcases our entrepreneurial strengths, sparks our collaborative gene through
a host of partnerships, and catalyses new intellectual capital to the state;
